Home Aide program and work opportunity
The Home Aide program is Healthcare Australia’s entry-level program that support people interested in working with the elderly in their homes. By attending the 2-day home aide training course, you will be supported by the Home Care team to visit clients at home. The role of the home aide is to assist clients with domestic duties such as household chores, preparation and cooking of meals, social outings and encouraging them to engage in social activities. If you have ever considered working with the elderly and are wanting a career change, the role of the home aide could be for you.

As a home care worker (CERT 3), you can provide a range of duties in a client home including personal care, respite, shopping, meal preparation, domestic duties, medication support and social activities. Career progression within Home Care
Healthcare Australia Home Care service as been actively working to create career progression opportunities for their staff and even for those people who have never worked in aged care before. Commencing as a Home Aide, there are opportunities to gain your Certificate 3 in Individual Support and become a Home Care Worker. With this experience and knowledge and a proven dedication to the elderly clients, Healthcare Australia has a transition role called Client Support Officer (CSO). The CSO role will enable staff to learn how to become a Coordinator and case management their own clients.
