Evidence suggests that the rapid antigen tests work just as well on the new variants.
This depends on the screening schedule. In the workplace, it is best to test daily, or at least every 48 hours.
The test takes about 20 minutes in total, usually only 2 minutes to collect the specimen and then 15 minutes to read the result.
The participant will receive a positive result notification via SMS and HCA will notify the relevant Health Department of the result. The participant will be advised to depart and seek a PCR test immediately to determine if COVID-19 is present. The PCR test is required to confirm a positive result. HCA will always follow Public Health advice in the relevant State or Territory.
