Learning Designer

Working alongside our parent company Healthcare Australia, EmployEase is a registered training organisation and has been delivering training and vocational services across all states for over 25 years. Over this time HCA Education has established itself as a proven provider of quality industry training, specialising in the Aged Care, Disability and Health Services sectors. 

The Education and Training Division of HCA actively supports the training and continuous professional development of internal HCA staff, as well as providing a fee for service model to our external clients.

The Role:

We have a permanent role and a 6 month contract available.
Reporting to the Training Manager, the Learning Designer role combines innovative instructional learning design, course development and maintenance with occasional customer support. You will be working closely with subject matter experts and authors to take written course content and turn this in to robust, engaging and quality online learning modules. There will also be an element of Help-desk support with existing learners and onboarding of new customers as and when required.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Work with subject matter experts to build content for e-learning programs
  • Develop and maintain compelling and engaging e-learning content
  • Comprehensive QA processes to eliminate the risk of bugs/errors in courses
  • Initiative to explore new Online Learning tools available and suitable for use in our product
  • Monitor client/industry needs to keep courses up to date with latest learning trends e.g., micro learning options, increased interactivity options
  • Maximise upselling opportunities with existing clients
  • Demonstrate the ability for a consultative approach with clients and stakeholders
  • Provide first rate LMS/Course support to external customers predominantly via Phone and web portal requests, when needed.
  • Maintain a high standard of conduct and work performance to promote Healthcare Australia’s reputation with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain, respect cultural awareness and sensitivity for team and customers

To be considered:

  • Experience in online content development and digital learning
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate Storyline and Rise
  • Knowledge and management of E-Learning platforms
  • Proven ability to work within required deadlines with sound time management skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Customer service orientated with excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality
