Griffith’s Italian Heritage oozes out of these bakeries. Now there are TWO of these on the exact same street. The one near the domino’s is the bigger one. Go to that one!

Limone is amazing for some fine dining. A little treat to yourself during your contract.
The building itself is constructed almost entirely from recycled materials, reclaimed from within the local area. The produce is supported by their own farm, where much of the produce is picked daily. They also have degustation’s available.

THINGS TO DO:
PICCOLO FAMILY FARM
Fully functional farm that supplies restaurants with fresh produce daily. Sitting on 20 acres and sitting just outside Griffith with a Farm to fork approach. Check the website for upcoming events such as farm tour, live music, intimate garden lunches, produce, and wine experiences and cooking demos/classes.
WALKING TRACKS/HIKING
Lake Wyangan was formed in 1957 using the remains of a gypsum mine and a natural swamp area. It is only a short drive from the city centre (approx 10 minutes). Lake Wyangan offers a delightful setting for a picnic, and you have the options of sheltered picnic areas or barbecue facilities that are found throughout the large, grassed reserve. Free camping is permitted.
Cocoparra National Park
Fabulous for bushwalking and birdwatching, and within a half hour drive of Griffith in the Riverina

YARRAN WINERY
This is the most gorgeous winery. It has a great atmosphere, the best sales hosts, and you can even meet Shadow, the winery dog (as seen in photo above)
You get placed at a table, and they will come over and pour the wines and talk about the wine in detail. You can also pre order cheese boards which is highly recommend (they are delicious)
Fun fact: shadow the dog is deaf and mostly blind. But can sniff out a human nearby and loves pats.

ALTINA WILDLIFE PARK
You MUST visit Altina Wildlife Park! It is only a 40-minute drive from Griffith. The Zoo-fari is like no other, where you meet the animals up close and personal with your guide whilst travelling in style on a personalised horse-drawn cart.
