My name is Chelsea and I work for HCA as a Recruitment Consultant. For me, there is nothing more important than having a dependable and stable income, a big challenge I had to face when I moved from UK to settle in Australia.

The day I was at the airport, ready for my exciting adventure to Australia, I panicked!…I don’t have a job! Where’s the money going to come from? Where am I going to live? I started thinking about how important a permanent job is for me. Security

There’s nothing better than knowing you have a guaranteed income to be able to pay your mortgage or rent, your phone bill, a loan against your car or your children’s education. You don’t need to ask yourself have I done enough hours this week? Do I need to save money in case I don’t get work next week? ….Phew!

For me culture is key. When we were at school, we all had ambitions to one day fly to the moon or become a footy superstar. Some of you are even lucky enough to have dreamed about being a Nurse and are living that dream right this very second. From my experience speaking with Nurses, what makes a fulfilling career is not only enjoying the work in patient care but having a supportive hospital environment for Nurses to pursue training and education.
