Some Home Care customers may have unspent funds available in their Home Care package. Here’s what you need to know about Unspent Funds.
What are unspent funds?
Unspent funds are the left over money that you haven’t spent on goods, services or fees.
How do unspent funds accumulate?
Unspent funds accumulate when you haven’t utilised your full package allowance. These funds are then available to be used on services, goods and fees.
How can you use your unspent funds?
You can use your unspent funds on the services you receive through your Home Care Package funding.
Domestic Care: Would you like some extra help around the home with tasks like cleaning or preparing meals?
Personal Care: We can assist you with showering, dressing or grooming
Transport: We can arrange to drive you to and from appointments. This may be more convenient for you than asking friends and family for a lift
Social Support: If you would like to get out and about in the community more, we can arrange someone to take you and accompany you
Respite Care: Do you currently receive support from a family member or friend? Your unspent funds may cover these services so you can spend more time with your loved ones doing the things you want to do.
Shopping: Do you need some assistance with grocery or running errands? We can arrange for your Support Worker to accompany you to lend a pair of hands.
How can you find out more about your unspent funds?
You can talk to your Customer Care Manager to find out if you have unspent funds available to use and what the best course of action would be to use them.
