To celebrate the launch of our new loyalty program, HCA Rewards, we ran an exciting competition to win a massive 150,000 HCA Rewards points.

We would like to thank the 1000’s of entrants that logged onto the rewards website throughout March and encourage anyone, who is yet to do so to, to have a look at how you can accumulate more points and look at the generous purchases you can make with your points.

The winner was drawn on Wednesday, 6th April and we can now reveal that this lucky person is Retina White, an Aged Care Nurse working out of South Australia.

The team sat down with Retina in the week and got to know a little bit about her and what she plans to do with her prize of 150,000 points.

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and your nursing career in South Australia?

Retina: My name is Retina White and I completed my Enrolled Nurse Diploma at Equals International in Adelaide. I have been working as an EN for 8 months and within this time have been placed in Rural and Remote, which I have really enjoyed and love meeting lots of new people which has helped me grow in confidence as a nurse.

How did you first hear about HCA?

Retina: I first heard about HCA through a friend who works for HCA. Since working for you I have loved the backup and support you have provided – it has really helped me out!

What has been your most rewarding experience as a nurse?

Retina: The most rewarding experience as a nurse is when a facility requests me to return and the residents enjoys seeing me again.

What part of being an agency nurse appeals to you the most?

Retina: The most appealing part of being an agency nurse is the flexibility of when you can or can’t work.

What were you looking for when you considered an agency?

Retina: HCA was my first preference as my friend worked for you and she said HCA was the best. Now working for HCA I totally agree – and the clients I have been to also think the same.

Do you enjoy picking and choosing shifts?

Retina: Yes, I love the flexibility of being able to choose which shifts I want to do when they become available.

How has HCA been able to help you in your career?

Retina: HCA has given me a lot of variety and insight. I also love that you offer ongoing training and support to all health care professionals.
