HCA nurse Catherine has been crowned Nurse/Midwife of the Year for NSW!

This was her response:

“Thank you all so much. I’m honored to be made nurse of the year with HCA for 2020. I have worked 4 yrs with this agency and enjoy the variety of work and professionalism of all the healthcare teams from education to bookings. Very professional organisation”.

I have never strived to be ‘Nurse of the Year’ but to always be a great mentor, teacher, coach and support person for all my students. I love teaching the next generation of nurses and get a great adrenaline rush when a student has a ‘light bulb’ moment. I could never do anything else but nursing and clinical facilitation. I strive to make a positive difference in every students life. If all those things combined make me the Nurse of the Year for 2020 I will accept graciously. I know there are many great nurses out there and am honoured it was my turn this year for acknowledgment.” – Catherine.
